The Fourth of July was pretty awesome for us even though we missed being at the Brothers' house for fireworks. James' sister and brother and law are in town so they are staying at a beautiful home near us. We were invited to join them to celebrate the fourth and we gladly accepted the offer. We hung out, swam, ate too much food, and played with sparklers. The house is up on a mountain side so we were overlooking the beach scattered with people playing music and setting off fireworks. It was a really great time. I am embarrassed by the fact that my pictures do no justice to the beauty of the home or view, but you'll get the idea.

In other news, I got a job yesterday! Yay! Four interviews, paperwork and a drug test later I got the job at the Prince Golf Course Gift Shop. It's part time so that's good with me as long as it pays the bills. The main manager guy (I swear there are 3 managers or more) asked a lot of questions about my Starbucks background. Apparently they are seriously considering putting a Starbucks in the building. Another manager asked how I would like being a manager of a Starbucks in Hawaii. It will take time to get it up and running because everything is slower here, but we will see if I'm still around by the time they have a Starbucks. It was a flattering offer nonetheless. I am still hoping for the teaching position as long as they let me have off to see my little niece be born!! :-)
Speaking of babies, I am so excited for Matt and Corinne and the new arrival of the sweet and beautiful Emma! I was fortunate enough to Facetime in so I could see her face....and even hear her cry a bit. :-) SO AWESOME! I wish we could have been there but I was happy to still feel like we were a part.
This past Saturday Houston and I decided we would compete in a rowing race! It was so much fun! The church was doing sign ups for it and this little old lady pressured us into doing it...and at the end of the day we were so glad she did! We had our whole team picked out but when we got there a ladies team needed one more girl so I got kicked off my team. :-( Apparently we had one too many people and they needed a girl...so I volunteered. It turned out great though because I was on a team of older (but fit!) ladies from the church and got to know them. They were all really sweet. My all ladies team and Houston's Co-ed team got second in our division. We even have medals to prove it! :-)
Houston's in there somewhere, I promise. :-)
Mason arrived yesterday and is staying a whole month!! I know he is going to have an awesome time here because here is just so much adventure to be had! Currently, Mason and Houston are out exploring the river behind the house. I wish I could have gone but I had to go into work to do paperwork. Bleh.
Houston and James are still trying to finish up all the paperwork, shopping for trailers and all before they actually have the lawn business up and running. They are trying to brainstorm names so if you have any suggestions text Houston. :-)
That's all I can think of for now!
Love you all and miss you,
The Brothers
