Oh, Christmas Tree

So this post is mostly for my mom who wanted to see what our tree looked like this year. I have been doing this thing each year where I hand-make everything on the tree. I did it last year and Houston loved it so much that he wanted to do it again this year. We have a few special ornaments but everything else is made by us. We went with an all natural theme this year and this is what we did:

Driftwood Cross

Driftwood Christmas trees

Dangling shells

Driftwood Santas
Dried Oranges. I love the stained glass effect these gave off.

Driftwood Star
As you have probably noticed, we love driftwood. :-) Hey, what can I say? Its free, readily available, and we like the look! We also strung some popcorn, made a bunch of salt dough ornaments, and hung some individual, pretty shells that we stubbled accross. We were going to add some pinecones as well but we never made it to the other side of the island to get some! Overall I really enjoyed the earthy feel of our tree and Houston absolutely loved it. Not a flashy or fancy tree (which I love as well) but it was perfect with the view of the ocean playing as a backdrop.
